This Privacy Policy governs how The Healthcare Portfolio LLC (“Company,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, stores, and/or discloses (“processes”) and protects your personal information when you access Compare Your Benefit website (the “Website”) and use the platform and related services (the “Services”) in the United States. This Privacy Policy is subject to and incorporated into the Terms of Use for the Website, platform, and services, which can be found at https://compareyourbenefit.com/terms-of-use.
2. Changes and Updates

3. Categories of Personal Information We Collect
The personal information that we collect depends on the context of your interactions with us and the Services, the choices you make, and the products and features you use. The personal information we collect may include the following:

- Customer-provided benefit preferences: This will vary depending on customer preferences, but may include one or more of coverage status, copays/coinsurance, whether coverage applies before or after the deductible, visit or dollar limits, authorization requirements, medical-necessity requirements, and other coverage details.
- Customer support communications: email, support category, subject, message content, status, timestamps, and resolution information.
- Customer feedback: recommendation ratings and comments
- Referral information: when you share a referral with other users, our Website will store a randomized pseudonymous first-party attribution token in the other user’s browser, and when that user makes a purchase, that purchase may be internally attributed to your referral identifier for analytics purposes. Neither party will be shown the other’s identity or personal information, and this information will not be shared with our payment processor.
We do not intentionally collect any medical or other sensitive personal information, including but not limited to, diagnoses, medical records, EOBs, Social Security numbers, insurance member identification numbers or other medical-record information. Customers are advised not to enter such information into the Website or Services.
4. Sources of Personal Information
- Directly from you (registration, account setup, platform purchases).
- Automatically via the Website (usage analytics, device data, OS versions, crash logs).
- From third parties: Stripe Checkout (purchase transaction confirmation, session identifiers, payment identifiers, and payment status information, but not payment details such as credit card numbers).
5. How We Use Personal Information
- To facilitate account creation and authentication and to manage user accounts;
- To deliver and facilitate delivery of services to the user;
- To request feedback;
- To protect our services including fraud monitoring and prevention;

- To process purchases of our products and services;
- To comply with legal obligations and respond to law enforcement requests as legally required;
- To improve safety features, including reporting/blocking tools.
6. Sharing of Personal Information
- Service providers: cloud hosting, analytics providers, customer support tooling — under contracts restricting use to providing services to Company;
- Payment processors: we use Stripe Checkout for secure online payment processing, which requires your billing information, contact details, and transaction data for your purchases;
- Legal process: law enforcement or regulators when required by valid legal process, or to protect safety in an emergency;
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale.
7. Data Retention
We will only keep your personal information for as long as it is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. Unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law (such as tax, accounting, or other legal requirements), no purpose in this notice will require us keeping your personal information for longer than thirteen (13) months past the termination of the user's account.
When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process your personal information, we will either delete or anonymize such information, or, if this is not possible (for example, because your personal information has been stored in backup archives), then we will securely store your personal information and isolate it from any further processing until deletion is possible.
8. Data Security
We have implemented appropriate and reasonable technical and organizational security measures designed to protect the security of any personal information we process. However, despite our safeguards and efforts to secure your information, no electronic transmission over the Internet or information storage technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, so we cannot promise or guarantee that hackers, cybercriminals, or other unauthorized third parties will not be able to defeat our security and improperly collect, access, steal, or modify your information. Although we will do our best to protect your personal information, transmission of personal information to and from our Services is at your own risk. You should only access the Services within a secure environment.
9. Do-Not-Track
Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems and mobile applications include a Do-Not-Track ("DNT") feature or setting you can activate to signal your privacy preference not to have data about your online browsing activities monitored and collected. At this stage no uniform technology standard for recognizing and implementing DNT signals has been finalized. As such, we do not currently respond to DNT browser signals or any other mechanism that automatically communicates your choice not to be tracked online. If a standard for online tracking is adopted that we must follow in the future, we will inform you about that practice in a revised version of this privacy notice.

Moreover, if we are relying on your consent to process your personal information, which may be express and/or implied consent depending on the applicable law, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. You can make such requests by contacting us at privacy@compareyourbenefit.com. However, please note that this will not affect the lawfulness of the processing before its withdrawal, nor when applicable law allows, will it affect the processing of your personal information conducted in reliance on lawful processing grounds other than consent.
